Mrs. Coombe: I'm so glad you stopped by! My name is Kelly Coombe and I have been teaching science for the past 13 years (time flies when you're having fun!). For the past 10 years, I have been implementing notebooks, but the process started off slow and at times frustrating. At this point in time, I am feeling comfortable with implementation and management of the notebooks, but am always on the lookout for fresh new ideas. For the 8 years, I have been presenting on notebooks with the California Science Project Northern Inland and Butte County Office of Education. This is my second year being a teacher leader in Chico Unified School District and a lot of the profession development I help develop surrounds notebooking in the classroom and shifting towards NGSS in the classroom. I hope you find my blog helpful and would appreciate any feedback and/or ideas that you might have.
